Home made Remedies- Papaya

The papaya is also commonly called pawpaw or papaw.  The papaya is also sometimes called mugua, a name used in traditional Chinese medicine. In the Dominican Republic, the papaya is usually called "lechoza", a name associated with the plant's milky sap.
Papayas are a power fruit .Papaya is not only a delicious fruit to eat, it also contains abundant health benefits and medicinal value. Papaya can be eaten as a fruit, a smoothie or even a milkshake.

Papaya contains natural fiber, carotene, vitamin C and essential minerals. Papayas also contain enzymes like arginine and carpain.
Papaya is a fruit which is packed with number of health benefits for us. Papaya is a very common fruit and the best part is it is available through out the year. Papaya is good for overall health and is specially considered good for stomach and is helpful in digestion.

·         Papaya contains the digestive enzyme papain and therefore valuable for aiding digestion.
·         The unique protein-digesting enzymes; papain and chymopapain have been shown to help lower inflammation and to improve healing from burns in addition to helping in digestion of proteins. The antioxidant nutrients found in papaya, including vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta-carotene, are also very good at reducing inflammation.
·         The ripe fruit is easily digestible and prevents constipation.
·         Case studies indicate that this food taken alone for two or three days has a highly beneficial tonic effect upon the stomach and intestines.

Special note:
Papaya (Like Bananas) contains substance called chitinases, which are associated with latex allergy syndrome. People with latex allergies may need to avoid papaya to avoid symptoms.
